Casa Baja Ola is minutes away from some of the best surf in Baja. For boogie boarding and surfers of all levels, Playa Cerritos is a perfect place to spend the day. Boards of all shapes and sizes can be rented at the beach for very reasonable prices. Five minutes drive north of Baja Ola is San Pedrito Point, an excellent point break for more advanced surfers.

Where the desert mountains meet the ocean, Baja has a diverse ecology and marine biology. San Pedrito beach, in front of Baja Ola, is breading ground to three types of sea turtles (Leatherback, Black, and Olive Ridley). From October to June, turtles are either nesting or hatching. Participating in a sea turtle release is a special activity that is great for all ages!

Casa Baja Ola is 14km from the charming town of Todos Santos. Full of great shopping, eating, and cultural sites, spending a day or more in Todos Santos is a wonderful activity for all ages.

We recommend you start at the main plaza in Todos Santos and walk around the surrounding blocks. You’ll find great shops and restaurants within close proximity.

Pescadero and Todos Santos have a wide selection of yoga classes. Within walking distance, Aureo and La Dicha offer excellent classes. In Todos, Cuatro Vientos has a great selection of yoga and exercise classes.

Baja has some world-class snorkling and diving. Swim with whale sharks or check out the national nature preserve Cabo Pulmo. An hour’s drive away from the Gulf of California and several beautiful islands.

The Pescadero Tennis Club offers pickleball and tennis options for all abilities in a stunning new facility.

Cerritos Beach has great, affordable massages. Expect to pay $500 pesos for 30 mintues or $800 pesos an hour. These massage therapists are also available to come the house. Inquire with hosts to help arrange a massage at Casa Baja Ola.

Dos Marias Day Spa is an authentic and relaxing space. For years, Maria has been offering spa treatments using her beautiful handmade products. They also offer a traditional Mexican temescal experience.

Baja is the very tip of the Sonora Desert. Whether you walk, bike, ATV, or drive, we recommend a trip out to the desert to see the special ecology and landscape of this area. Todos Santos has several ATV guided and self-guided tour services along with mountain bike rental.

Baja has some amazing hikes along the beach or in the beautiful Sierra de La Laguna Mountain Range. The nearest day hike is Punta Lobos (or the Old Port). Located about 10 minutes drive away near Hotel San Cristobal, this hike features desert landscape and epic ocean views. From November to March, this hike has great whale watching.
